At Desert Winds our "Serenity" wing is designed to meet the unique needs of those residents with dementia or confusion. Residents are provided with a secure, calm environment where they participate in a highly specialized program of activities and personal care. Staff members who have been specifically trained for this special wing interact with the residents on a more intense level in order to ensure all their nutritional, emotional and personal needs are met. All residents in our Serenity wing are evaluated upon move-in, at regularly scheduled intervals, and as needed. Because of the ratio of care givers to residents in our Serenity wing, we are able to continually monitor their behavior and respond quickly to their often changing conditions.
We feature studio and one bedroom apartments and are able to offer both private and semi-private accommodations.
One monthly rental fee includes all of the following amenities and services.
Three meals per day and snacks
All utilities including cable tv and local telephone (where appropriate)
24 hour staffing by LPN's and certified caregivers.
Daily tidying and weekly deep cleaning of each apartment.
Once a week laundering of bed and bath linens.
One load of personal laundry per week
General maintenance of each apartment, as well as grounds and common areas
Scheduled transportation (if appropriate)
Daily stimulating and enriching activities.
*Incontinence care is an extra charge. |
